here’s a peek inside the leap (af)fair bengaluru!
a big collection of small moments, countless memories, warm hugs, the sound of laughter, and most importantly — a wider network. that’s what the sunday looked like for all the women at the leap (af)fair in bengaluru!
we hosted our biggest (af)fair (yet) on the 26th of feb at jayamahal palace, and it’s safe to say that this day will forever be etched in our hearts. with over 800 women under the open sky, the vibes were immaculate, spirits were high, and the sound of passionate conversation wafted around as our members and their old and new friends made valuable, meaningful connections.
here’s a glimpse of what went down:
“the dialogue” — invigorating speaker sessions
hosted by our founding member ujjwala murthy, we were joined by aruna newton — global head of diversity at infosys, and madhurima agrawal — country head at microsoft for startups for a panel discussion on “building credibility at the workplace”.
we also had author, comedian and a leap.club favourite, radhika vaz host an interactive session titled “let’s get real”. with her characteristic wit and humour, radhika elicited opinions from the audience, facilitating discussions around imposter syndrome, what kinds of leadership qualities women naturally possess and more. nothing like big-picture thinking paired with a few chuckles!
the member-led flea market
members are always at the heart of everything we do. enter: the member-led flea market! we were thrilled to have cosmix, manzuri, prakriti herbals, qua clothing, and risham put up stalls, along with a painting pop-up by aruna from salad, and a human travel library by priyansha from on her way!
rumour has it that cosmix had to restock within the first 2 hours, manzuri had to open up online orders to manage the demand and prakriti herbals saw 10x the number of usual pop-up sales! talk about a perfect audience?

speed networking
we never cease to be amazed at how women can instantly connect! 3 sets of prompted conversations, 8 minutes each — that’s how folks enter as strangers and leave as friends.
all this alongside some of the city’s most-loved food and drink brands, ending the evening to the backdrop of live music by chizai. original, groovy electronic & synth covers of crowd-favourite songs — we couldn’t think of a better way to close the day.
we’re grateful to have had some incredible mission partners: etsy, kica, bigin by zoho, dezerv & proactive for her.
we’ve always been bullish about the new way of networking; celebratory, offline and just… cool. the bigger the event, the more members get to increase their surface area of luck: tap into each others’ diverse networks, talk about what they’re building and garner support for things they’re passionate about.
oh, and sometimes just let loose and have fun with great company!
